I was born in Oklahoma, got chased out by a tornado that took half our house away. Moved to and was raised in Oregon where we were welcomed by Mount Saint Helens erupting. Eventually ended up in Ohio where I have met and married the most amazing woman in the world whom after 7 years of marriage we are now starting our family (first daughter due 11/24/2010). Throughout my life, I’ve never had a shortage of amazing subjects to photograph, which is where my love of photography has grown from. I love the silent rewards of experiencing life through the view finder of a camera. I’ve always felt that being a photographer makes you see the world in a little different way and I’m thankful that I am able to enjoy a lifetime of success in doing so. They say a memory lasts forever, and I agree, but sometimes our memories need a reminder from an amazing photograph. That’s what I do, I make bookmarks (so to speak) for our minds to remember! I love what I do, and it shows!

When I look through the viewfinder, it isn’t just to make sure the shot is in focus, it is more a dance of life one brush of color at a time. For a small moment I allow the world to disappear around me and open my soul to what my camera sees. I study the frame, the surroundings, the temperature, and the feel. I then remove all thoughts from my mind, allow my soul to experience the view... and snap the shot.
